The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday's trading session with most indices on the rise and a turnover of RON 6.67 million (EUR 1.34 million) 40 minutes into business.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, picked up 0.43 percent, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares opened 0.43 percent higher.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers opened 0.42 percent up, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK advanced 0.35 percent.
The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies inched up 0.01 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG gained 0.59 percent.
According to the BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were Transelectrica (+3.04 percent), Turism, Hotels, Restaurants Marea Neagra (+3.02 percent) and Alumil Rom Industry (+2.84 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Electroaparataj (-15 percent), Energopetrol Company (-6.02 percent) and Rompetrol Rafinare (-4.94 percent).
