The National Committee for Emergency Situations (CNSU) approved, on Tuesday, the extension of the state of alert on the Romanian territory starting with December 9, establishing, among other things, the elimination of traffic bans during the night, renouncing wearing a mask except in crowded ones, increasing the capacity from 30% to 50% for cinemas, theatres, sports and other activities, announced the Emergencies Department (DSU) head Raed Arafat, agerpres reports.
"In the meeting of the National Committee for Emergency Situations, Decision 112 was voted to extend the state of alert and the necessary measures to be applied during it to prevent and combat the COVID 19 pandemic. Clearly, our situation is now better than two or three years ago weeks," Raed Arafat said at Victoria Palace.
First of all, he added, the CNSU Decision proposed "the elimination of the bans of the movement of persons during the night."
Also according to the CNSU Decision, it will increase the operating hours from 21.00 to 22.00 for all economic agents, including shops and restaurants, the head of DSU mentioned.
At the same time, he said that "the obligation to wear a mask in all open spaces" is eliminated, remaining limited to "crowded open spaces."
The head of DSU also mentioned the measures proposed by the CNSU Decision on access to department stores.
"Access to malls, department stores, including non-essential stores, will be allowed not only to people who have been vaccinated or had the disease, but also to people who are being tested with a 72-hour RT-PCR test or a 48-hour antigen test. hours," Arafat said.
Also, the head of DSU announced that, according to CNSU Decision no. 112, all activities that were limited with participation up to 30% of the maximum capacity of the space "will be allowed up to 50%".
"Here we are talking about cinemas, theaters, sports activities, which were up to 30% will be allowed up to 50%, but respecting the entry rule for vaccinated, sick or tested," he said.
Arafat noted that these changes were proposed by the National Committee for Emergency Situations for approval by Government decision.
The Government is to approve at Wednesday's meeting a draft decision on extending the state of alert in Romania starting with December 9, as well as establishing the measures to be applied during it to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
