The Police and Gendarmerie have applied 899 fines in the last 24 hours, with a total value of 449,350 RON, as a result of violating provisions of Law 55/2020 regarding certain measures for preventing and countering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Strategic Communication Group announced on Tuesday.

Furthermore, through the competent structures of the Police, two criminal files were opened on Monday for thwarting the countering of disease, which is punishable by article 352 of the Penal Code.
