A total of 4,695,280 pensioners were registered in Romania in November 2025, 2,668 more compared with the previous month, while the average pension stood at 2,777 lei, according to data centralised by the National House of Public Pensions (CNPP), consulted by AGERPRES.
The total value of pension entitlements amounted to 13.037 billion lei.
Out of the total number of pensioners, 537,539 had periods worked in agriculture, with an average pension of 720 lei.
According to CNPP statistics, the number of people retired at the statutory retirement age was 3,782,059, of whom 2,160,049 were women, while the average pension was 3,107 lei.
In November 2025, a total of 68,497 people received early retirement pensions, with an average pension of 2,614 lei, and 398,708 people received disability pensions, with an average pension of 1,097 lei, of whom 46,013 were classified as first-degree disability, with an average pension of 961 lei.
In the same month, survivor's pensions were granted to 445,919 people, with an average pension of 1,503 lei, while 97 pensioners received social assistance, averaging 540 lei.
