Toţi cei nouă răniţi în atacul armat sunt în stare stabilă. Persoanele decedate sunt un bărbat şi o femeie, ambii adulţi, a declarat un ofiţer de poliţie în cadrul unei conferinţe de presă.
Potrivit poliţiei, un număr mare de adulţi erau prezenţi în parc cu ocazia acestei zile.
"Nu am recuperat nicio armă până acum. Nu s-au făcut arestări", a indicat reprezentantul poliţiei din Philadelphia.
"Este plin de semnificaţie. Este Memorial Day. Înţelegem semnificaţia acestui eveniment şi ne vom asigura că vom oferi informaţii actualizate marţi", a adăugat el.
Memorial Day este o zi de comemorare la nivel federal în SUA, fiind dedicată omagierii personalului militar care şi-a pierdut viaţa în exerciţiul funcţiunii.
