Three-month ROBOR index falls to 6.19% per year

The three-month ROBOR index, used to calculate the cost of consumer loans in lei with variable interest rates, fell on Monday to 6.19% per year from 6.20% per year in the previous session, according to National Bank of Romania (BNR) data.

At the beginning of this year, the index stood at 5.92% per year.

The six-month index, used to calculate interest rates on mortgage loans in lei with variable interest rates, declined to 6.33% per year from 6.34%, while the 12-month ROBOR fell to 6.53% from 6.54%.

As for the reference index for consumer loans (IRCC), regulated by Emergency Ordinance 19/2019, it stands at 6.06% per year, being calculated as the arithmetic average of the daily interest rates of interbank transactions in the second quarter of 2025, the highest level recorded by this index so far.
