Several hundred people protested on Thursday evening in Victoriei Square in the capital, following the disclosures in the Recorder documentary on the problems in the justice system.

The protesters displayed banners with messages such as: "Savonea, get your hands off the justice system", "Lia called me, I'm going to talk", "Justice, not corruption", "Lia called me. We're going to prison".

They also shouted: "We want justice, not immunity", "Independent magistrates, not obedient ones", "Savonea, resign", "Down with Predoiu".

At the same time, they are demanding the resignation of the President of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, Lia Savonea, the Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Catalin Predoiu, and the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anti-Corruption Agency, Marius Voineag.

This is the second evening in which people have taken to the streets, after several thousand people protested in front of the headquarters of the Superior Council of Magistracy in the capital and the Palace of Justice in Cluj-Napoca on Wednesday evening.
