The second semester of the school year 2021 - 2022 is starting today and ends in June.
The first semester ended on January 14.
From today, in pre-university/related schools there will be in-person instruction in all counties where the county-wide occupancy rate of COVID-19 hospital beds is at most 75%. If the rate is higher than 75%, classes move online. The resumption of in-person classes will occur when the same rate drops below 70%.
Middle and high school students, as well as those in vocational and post-secondary education resumed classes after the winter holiday on January 3.
Pre-schoolers and primary school students returned to school a week later, on January 10.
The second semester ends on June 10.
The next holiday, the Easter break, will run Friday, April 15 through Sunday, May 1.
