President Klaus Iohannis ends his state visit to Portugal on Monday, being scheduled to meet Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa, President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic Augusto Santos Silva, and members of Parliament.
Iohannis will also visit the Palace of the Municipality of Lisbon, where he will have a meeting with Mayor Carlos Moedas.
On Monday, two memoranda of cooperation between Romania and Portugal will be signed, in the area of energy, investment and trade.
President Klaus Iohannis began his state visit to Portugal on Friday. He participated, as a special guest, in the meeting of the Arraiolos Group, hosted by President of the Portuguese Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, at the Palacio da Bolsa in Porto.
On Saturday, the Romanian President met his Portuguese counterpart. The official reception ceremony took place at the Monastery of the Hieronymites. Afterwards, the two heads of state had face-to-face and official talks and made joint statements at Belem Palace - the headquarters of the Portuguese Presidential Administration.
The topics discussed were the war in Ukraine, the latest developments in the Middle East, bilateral relations and the Romanian community in Portugal.
