The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informed on Saturday that Romanian citizens transiting through or planning to travel to Germany may be affected by multiple flight cancellations at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport due to extreme weather conditions, according to Agerpres.
The MAE advises Romanian citizens to check the status of flights before traveling to the airport and to consult updated information at: https://ber.berlin-airport.de/en.html, according to a release sent to AGERPRES.
Romanian citizens can request consular assistance via the Embassy of Romania in Berlin at: +49 302 123 9555, +49 302 123 9514, +49 302 123 9516, with the calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Centre for Romanian Citizens Abroad (CCSCRS) and handled by call centre operators on a 24/7 basis.
Moreover, Romanian citizens who are confronted with a difficult, special or urgent situation can contact the diplomatic mission's emergency number: +49 160 157 9938.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry advises consulting the websites https://berlin.mae.ro/ and www.mae.ro and reminds Romanian citizens traveling abroad that the "Calatoreste informat" app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mae.alerte&hl=ro, https://apps.apple.com/ro/app/c%C4%83l%C4%83tore%C8%99te-informat/id6452016795) is available, providing travel information and advice.
