The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday's trading session higher on almost all indices, with total trading of 97.37 million lei (19.13 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 0.16%, up to 23,948.49 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed up by 0.15%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 0.44%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, gained 0.04%.
Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.11%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down by 0.33%.
On the other hand, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, rose by 0.25% compared to the previous session.
The most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 17.9 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares (8.02 million lei) and Hidroelectrica shares (6.32 million lei).
The best developments were recorded by Armatura shares (+13.89%), Prefab (+8.40%) and Santierul Naval Osova (+5.81%).
At the opposite end, the most significant decreases were recorded by Altur shares (-6.62%), Aages (-5.61%) and Electromagnetica (-4.31%).
