A Polish citizen participating in the protest in the University Square in the Capital was spotted by the gendarmes with a belt around his waist that had a knife attached to one end.

According to a statement sent, on Saturday, by the Gendarmerie of the Capital, a man with Polish citizenship was identified at the public meeting, who was under judicial control, having also been banned from participating in public meetings.

At the same time, the quoted source shows that the person had also applied a clothing item around the waist, at the end of which there was a cutting-stabbing object.

The man is under judicial control, after he was caught by the gendarmes on February 10 at the protest in Piaţa Victoriei with a knife and destroyed a metal panel of the Gendarmerie, Agerpres informs.

According to the received measure, he was forbidden to participate in public gatherings.

The person was taken to the police station, to establish the factual situation and apply the required legal measures, informs the Gendarmerie.

Also on Saturday, the Gendarmerie of the Capital announced that it detected several people participating in the protest in University Square having on them blunt objects made of wood or metal alloy, used as a support for flags, adding that the flags remained in the possession of the participants, without the previously mentioned blunt objects.

Thousands of protesters participate, on Saturday, in the demonstration organized by the leader of the AUR party, George Simon, and supported by Calin Georgescu against the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the cancellation of the second round of the presidential elections.

The protesters wave tricolor flags and display placards against Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and in favor of Calin Georgescu. They chant "Down with the Government", "Liberty" and blow from vuvuzelas
