Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, 4,180 Ukrainian citizens have applied for asylum in Romania, including 57 in the last 24 hours, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday, Agerpres reports.
These people enjoy all the rights provided by national law.
At this moment, the occupancy rate of the accommodation centres of the General Inspectorate for Immigration is 89.2%.
Regarding passage through the border crossing points, the ministry says that in the last 24 hours 68,161 people entered Romania, including 10,699 Ukrainian citizens.
