National Liberal Party (PNL) Chairman Florin Citu said on Tuesday that the finance minister had not yet presented a budget option to the governing coalition meeting, stressing that there were no "antagonistic" positions, agerpres reports.
"For next year, we need to have a 6.2 deficit on ESA on a 5.84 deficit increase as these are linked. If you do not have a 5.84 cash deficit you cannot have an ESA deficit of 6.2. We will see what the value is on the budget We do not have a budget option yet, so we cannot discuss (...),'' Citu said in the Senate.
He added that there were no "antagonistic" positions with Social Democratic Party (PSD) regarding next year's budget.
According to him, in case of budget deficit, more things can be done and the Ministry of Finance can find additional revenue resources or increase the collection.
A meeting of the governing coalition is scheduled for Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
