Bucharest Stock Exchange starts Tuesday's session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher on Tuesday, with turnover amounting to RON 15.41 million (EUR 3.02 million) 30 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 0.81%, while the BET-Plus index, reflecting the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB, rose by 0.78%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.95%, while the investment funds benchmark, BET-BK, advanced by 0.79%.

The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded an increase of 2.11%, and BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, climbed 0.83%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Condmag (+3.85%), SSIF BRK Financial Group (+3.14%) and Lion Capital (+1.98%).

On the other hand, shares in Vrancart (-8.16%), Electroaparataj (-6.79%) and Prebet (-2.88%) were down.
