The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) informs that the total number of citizens with a right to vote registered with the Electoral Register on November 30 is 18,886,083, that is 21,689 less than at the end of October, when there were 18,907,772 Romanian voters registered, agerpres reports.
According to an AEP press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday, the differences appeared as a result of the current operations performed by the mayors in the Electoral Register.
In this regard, in November, 39,282 persons who died were removed from the Electoral Register and 38 persons were barred from exercising their right to vote or were placed under interdiction.
At the same time, 107 people regained their electoral rights after the expiration of the deregistration period.
The number of voters who turned 18 in November is 17,524, and they are registered with the Electoral Register ex officio by the Permanent Electoral Authority, based on a communication from the Directorate for the Registration of Persons and the Administration of Databases.
AEP also mentions that, out of the total number of Romanian voters listed in the Electoral Register, 18,116,770 have their domicile or residence in the country, and 769,313 have their domicile abroad and are holders of CRDS (Romanian Citizens with Domicile Abroad) passports.
